What Makes a Corsican Ram a Distinctive Trophy?
The Corsican ram is recognized for its rich brown coloration, athletic frame, and impressive curling horns. As rams mature, their horns develop the sweeping curves that make them such recognizable trophies.
While a Texas Dall is known for its bright white coloration and the Black Hawaiian ram for its dark coat, the Corsican offers a classic, earth-toned appearance that many sheep hunters appreciate.
The combination of horn shape, body structure, and coloration makes a Corsican ram an appealing addition to an exotic trophy collection.
Whether you're looking for your first ram or comparing several exotic sheep varieties, our guides can help you evaluate the available animals and pursue a ram that fits your hunting goals.
Spot-and-Stalk or Blind Corsican Ram Hunts
At BarBell Ranch, hunters can choose between professionally guided spot-and-stalk hunting and hunting from a blind. Each approach offers a different experience while pursuing these alert, athletic sheep.
Spot-and-Stalk Corsican Ram Hunting
For hunters who enjoy an active pursuit, spot-and-stalk hunting offers the opportunity to locate a Corsican ram and carefully work into position for an ethical shot.
Corsican rams are quick to react to movement, making patience and careful positioning important. Working alongside your guide, you'll use the ranch's rolling terrain and available cover to plan an approach while minimizing the chance of alerting the animal.
The challenge of locating a ram and making a successful stalk adds to the satisfaction of the hunt for those who enjoy being actively involved in the pursuit.
Hunting Corsican Rams From a Blind
Hunters who prefer a more stationary approach can pursue Corsican rams from one of the ranch's hunting blinds.
Blind hunting allows you to observe animal movement and wait for a suitable shooting opportunity. It's an appealing choice for hunters who prefer a less physically demanding hunt or enjoy the patience of hunting from a stationary position.
Both hunting methods are professionally guided, giving hunters the flexibility to select the experience that best suits their preferences and abilities.
